Project Outline: Project Management and Cost Consultancy services for the refurbishment and conversion of existing teaching space to provide additional office accommodation and extended book storage space. Provision of temporary teaching accommodation (Terrapin Buildings) to replace converted teaching space.


Budget: £435,000

 

Library Refurbishment: Refurbishment of 6 areas of an occupied building during a 6 week contract period, including demolition of partitions and ceilings, construction of new acoustic partitions, new wall, floor and ceiling finishes, upgrading services, introduction of a new PA system, new barriers and shelving.

 

Temporary buildings:  Installation of a new 3,800 sq.ft. Terrapin building into a campus quadrangle surrounded on 4 sides by occupied buildings, including temporary access routes, ground works and services provisions.
